Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period for most equipment is 7 days.
For equipment rented on a monthly basis—such as chain hoists, trolleys, Tirfors, baskets, and containers—the minimum rental period is 30 days. After this period, rental charges are calculated on a pro rata basis according to the additional time the equipment remains in use.
How quickly can the equipment be made available?
Most equipment is available for immediate delivery, subject to prior rental availability.
If the rental exceeds the period stated in the quotation, is it automatically renewed?
Yes. The rental remains active until all equipment has been returned and the corresponding Return Invoice has been issued.
How does the rental billing process work?
Rental charges are based on Measurement Reports (BM – Boletim de Medição), which record the equipment usage period.
After the report is submitted and approved by the customer, a Rental Invoice is issued according to the payment terms established in the contract or commercial proposal.
Does Loquen issue Electronic Service Invoices (NFS-e)?
No.
Under Brazilian tax legislation, the rental of movable assets is generally not classified as a service subject to ISS (Service Tax). Therefore, LOQUEN issues a Rental Invoice (FT) rather than an Electronic Service Invoice (NFS-e).
However, following the implementation of the Brazilian Tax Reform, rental transactions became subject to IBS and CBS, in accordance with Complementary Law No. 214/2025.
Currently, this tax information is displayed on the Rental Invoice for informational purposes. The issuance of NFS-e for rental transactions is not yet available through the National NFS-e Platform, according to the implementation schedule established by the applicable Technical Notes.
Once this functionality becomes available and mandatory, Loquen will update its invoicing procedures accordingly.
How does equipment pickup and return work?
The Customer/Lessee is responsible for arranging and paying for the transportation of the equipment to and from Loquen's facility, including all associated logistics and costs until the final destination.
Loading and unloading operations at Loquen's facility in Macaé, Brazil, are available during the following business hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:10 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:10 AM – 5:00 PM
Advance scheduling is recommended to ensure faster service.
Is Loquen's equipment certified?
Yes.
All rental equipment is inspected, tested, and certified in accordance with the applicable standards and requirements for each equipment category before delivery.
Does Loquen offer emergency and weekend support?
Yes.
Loquen provides 24/7 emergency support, ensuring assistance for urgent operational demands at any time, including weekends and holidays.
If the rental extends beyond the equipment's certification validity, can the equipment be replaced without ending the rental?
Yes, subject to equipment availability and operational feasibility.
If it is necessary to replace the equipment with another model, capacity, or configuration, our commercial team will evaluate the request and provide the applicable replacement conditions.
Can I request a quotation even if I don't have all the technical specifications?
Yes.
Our commercial team can help identify the most suitable solution for your operation.
The more information you provide—such as required capacity, intended application, operating location, rental duration, and operating conditions—the more accurately we can recommend the appropriate equipment.
